LAURA LEE DUFFETT, B.Sc., P.Geo. – Director
Throughout her successful 18 year career, Ms. Duffett has gained significant profile as a senior manager of leading companies in the Canadian junior mineral exploration industry. A member of the Professional Association of Engineers and Geoscientists of the Province of British Columbia, a Fellow of the Geological Association of Canada and a graduate geologist from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario, Ms. Duffett has an extensive management background in geological research, marketing, corporate development, financing and technical project evaluation. Ms. Duffett has acted as a consulting geologist and Manager, Business Development for a number of successful exploration companies including Eldorado Corporation Ltd., HRC Development Corporation, Trillion Resources Ltd., Oliver Gold Corporation, Solomon Resources Limited, Nickelodeon Minerals Ltd., Brett Resources Ltd. and several other Canadian exploration companies. Ms. Duffett’s diverse international experience encompasses mineral exploration and acquisition programs in Southeast Asia, South America, Africa, Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. A well recognized technical keynote speaker at international mining and exploration trade shows, Ms. Duffett has a unique understanding of both the technical and market requirements necessary for successful management of mineral exploration companies. Ms. Duffett was appointed President in January 2000 and is taking the lead in strategic business development and implementation of the corporate strategy.
JOHNSON MANU, Ph.D. Geology – Chair
Dr. Manu is appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tres-Or (Ghana) Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tres-Or Resources, a company developing gold production on the Agudee Project, Ghana. Dr. Manu is a graduate of Geology from the University of Ghana and holds a Masters and Ph.D. degree in Mineralogy/Economic Geology from Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany. Dr. Manu completed a MBA Finance at the University of Ghana and is a senior lecturer in the Department of Geology at the prestigious University of Ghana. He is the author of various publications on the geology of Ghana’s Birimian Gold Belt and his research and studies are widely referenced. While teaching, supervising and evaluating final year student projects, he is also an external examiner for Masters and Ph.D. student theses and reviewer for the Ghana Mining Journal and Journal of the University of Science and Technology. He has been involved in the preparation of technical reports for the UNDP regarding the exploration of gold, diamond and industrial mineral development in Ghana. His research includes determination of physical/chemical factors for the formation of Birimian gold in Ghana and he has consulted in the development of gold exploration activities for many Ghanaian companies and entrepreneurs. Dr. Manu is providing hands-on expertise and project consulting services to Tres-Or in pursuit of assets in Ghana. Dr. Manu is committed in involving Ghanaian nationals in the development of mineral resources and is providing education, a model framework for small scale miners and organizing the necessary aide and assistance for the peoples of Ghana. Dr. Manu was born in Ghana and is fluent in both English and German. He is a member of the Ghana Institute of Geoscientists and Ghana Science Association.
L.G. (BRUCE) LUCKMAN – VPOP Director
Bruce Luckman is appointed Vice President of Operations of Tres-Or (Ghana) Limited. Mr. Luckman has over 30 years experience as a miner and mining engineer specializing in alluvial gold production. Over his 30 year career, Bruce has been a director of five Canadian-listed public companies including Mistral Resources Ltd. which mined over 200 ounces of gold per day (approximately 75,000 ounces per annum from the Otter Creek Mine) at operations in the Atlin area of northern British Columbia, Canada. Mr. Luckman has successfully completed bringing two gold mines into to commercial production in North America and is taking the lead in the development of production from the alluvial/elluvial gold at Tres-Or’s Agudee Project, Ghana. Mr. Luckman provides education, counselling and teaches the necessary skills to engage Ghanaian peoples in developing mineral resources in Ghana.
BARRY W. PHILLIPS, F.I.C.B. – Advisor
Mr. Phillips acts a financial advisor to the Board of Directors. Mr. Phillips has over 50 years experience in international banking and financial expertise. Over the span of his career with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), Mr. Phillips served in several senior positions with the banks Canadian and International Division including being the Senior Area Administrator for the Trinidad and Tobago operations and the Senior Manager overseeing the banks offshore operations and services in the Cayman Islands. Mr. Phillips started his own financial consulting practice in 1981 specializing in raising venture capital for Canadian corporations and providing CFO related services to a range of corporations.
