Tres-Or Resources Ltd. (the “Company”) is pleased to provide an update on operations at the Agudee Project and other areas where its wholly-owned subsidiary Tres-Or (Ghana) Limited with its joint venture partner, a private Ghanaian company (the “Parties”) provide mining and related services to gold mining projects in Ghana, West Africa. Having completed the fabrication and assembly of the floating wash plant at the Agudee project site, the Parties are focused on optimization of the plant with the intent to increase through-put and consequent recovery.

Tres-Or Resources Ltd. (“Tres-Or”) reports on a preliminary microprobe evaluation of the Guigues Kimberlite near Notre Dame du Nord, Quebec. Microprobe analyses from kimberlite indicator minerals (KIMs) recovered from three reverse circulation (RC) drill holes completed at the Guigues pipe have returned eclogite garnets comparable to most inclusions in diamond. These eclogite garnets with diamond inclusion compositions were recovered from each sample, but with noticeably greater abundance in the central and southern parts of the pipe.

Most other indicator minerals exhibit little variation between samples, although the chromites are more encouraging from the central part of the pipe. The most Cr-rich at 64.72% Cr2O3 comes from the central pipe sample and it is also Mg-rich, similar to chromite included in diamond. Three other chromites with greater than 61.0% Cr2O3 and somewhat lower MgO are comparable to chromite intergrown with diamond.

The sampling program was designed to recover indicator mineral suites from different parts of the kimberlite pipe and the immediately overlying till for analysis by electron microprobe, with the goal of identifying favourable kimberlite phases for microdiamond testing. The KIM grains analyzed were recovered from samples collected from a RC drilling program carried out on its wholly-owned Guigues Kimberlite in October 2009 (see news release dated October 28, 2009).

The Guigues Kimberlite is part of Tres-Or’s Quebec Diamond Property and was reportedly discovered in 1983 by De Beers, before their discovery of the Victor Kimberlite near Attawapiskat in northern Ontario in 1987. The Guigues claims were dropped well before De Beers returned to Victor and conducted more intense testing which proved to be Ontario’s first diamond mine. No comprehensive microdiamond testing using modern caustic fusion processes is known to have been attempted at Tres-Or’s Guigues Kimberlite.

Given the recovery of encouraging eclogite garnets with diamond inclusion compositions, and the potential of high quality diamonds as suggested by production from the Victor Mine within the same Superior Craton, Tres-Or believes the Guigues Kimberlite merits direct testing for microdiamonds. The primary goal for the recommended drill program is to recover NQ drill core from the most prospective parts of the pipe suitable for caustic fusion tests at a modern independent Canadian microdiamond laboratory.

After the first six weeks of Agudee plant operation, Tres-Or feels that gold processing plant could be further optimized. As a result, Tres-Or energies have been spent on redesigning the floating gold processing plant. Bruce Luckman and a second alluvial expert with years of ghanaian alluvial experience are leading the redesign. Sluices and screens are being overhauled, different lengths and sizes are being tried. The reconstruction process begins mid-week and should be complete for the start of next week. Another round of test runs will then commence. Laura-Lee Duffett and the rest of Tres-Or remain excited by the property.

On the environmental front, the District Office recently examined, and were satisfied with the quality of water being returned to the Ofin River.

Welcome to 2010! It’s been just over a month since the last post to the Tres-Or blog. Tres-Or is happy to be back spreading the good word after some time away from the blog. This first post of 2010 will be an update on recent press releases that were put out recently regarding Tony Chan, new Quebec properties and the increase of in revenue share of the Agudee Gold Project in Ghana. As well, there are some exciting photos posted at the bottom of the post.

First off, Tres-Or would like to welcome Tony Chan to the Board of Directors. Tony brings a wealth knowledge and financial experience to the team. As a two time member of the Vancouver Stock Exchange Board of Governers and former Chairman of the Membership Committee, a founding director in Capstone Mining, and former director Silverstone Resources, he marries an understanding of capital markets and the challenges faced by mining companies. At Tres-Or, we hope to leverage his abilities to drive value to shareholders. Please read more about him on our directors page.

Late in December, Tres-Or acquired the rights to an interesting precious metals property in Quebec. In short, Tres-Or can earn up to 76% interest in the property by completing some ground work over the next 24 months. Details of the press release can be found here.

Also in late December, Tres-Or negotiated a higher revenue share of the proceeds generated at its marquee Agudee Project in the Ashanti region of Ghana. The percentage to be earned by Tres-Or moves up from 37.5% to 42.5%. Tres-Or remains very excited by the project and continues to work feverishly to push the alluvial gold project into steady-state.

Since the last post, the plant and gold room have been running with some gold being recovered. All relevant parties involved felt that current plant needed to be reworked to allow for better gold recoveries. Better gravel throughput is required, while sluices and screens runs need to be optimized to achieve optimal recovery rates. While the iterative work on the project is long and tedious, Tres-Or is becoming increasingly comfortable with the viability of the project and property. Tres-Or feels it will be a large value driver for the company. Earlier this week, during a plant optimization run, Bruce Luckman, site manager found a 3 gram nugget (pictured next to coin below) and has commented that the quality and size of the gold coming out of the project is exceeding recent expectations.

Tres-Or Resources Ltd. (the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a property option agreement (the “Option Agreement”) dated December 21, 2009 with Sementiou, Inc. (the “Optionor”) whereby the Optionor granted the Company the exclusive right to acquire up to an undivided 76% right, title and interest in several groups of project claims in the Abitibi- Témiscamingue region of northwestern Quebec.

The Company has paid $40,000 and reimbursed the Optionor for work performed on the properties in 2009 and has committed to expend $200,000 in work over the next 18 months to follow-up on priority project results. The Company has agreed to pay a total of either $50,000 in cash or shares or a combination of both within one year of the signing the Option Agreement to complete a 51% earn-in. The Company can elect within 90 days of the earn-in to acquire a further 25% interest for a total of 76% interest by paying $20,000 and completing further exploration expenditures of $100,000 within 12 months of such election. On completion of these terms, a joint venture agreement shall be entered into with the Company holding a vested 76% interest and the Optionor a 24% interest in the Quebec projects. Tres-Or is the project Operator.

The projects encompass over 142 claims forming 11 different project areas in and around Tres-Or’s wholly owned properties between Notre Dame du Nord and Rouyn-Noranda in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region. Geologic compilation, project planning and priority follow-up work is being planned. Some of the priority projects based on previous work filed and reported on SIGÉOM (Système d’Information GÉOMinière) metallic deposit database, include:

(1) the Cameron Creek gold showing from which trench TR-93-B returned 4.08 g/t gold over 1.5 m; 4.60 g/t gold over 1.00m and 2.37 g/t gold over 1.00m.

(2) The Duparquet gold group, which is a large claim package (66 claims in 3 contiguous blocks) located near the village of Duparquet and includes the Eastchester drill hole 7 which returned 1.7 g/t over 1.16m.

(3) The Fabre silver-cobalt-gold-bismuth project has easy access. Previous work from diamond drilling, channel, pit and tailings sampling have returned impressive results. Drill hole (GM 53265) returned 714.2 g/t Ag, 2.7% Co, 1.05 g/t Au and 1.1% Bi over 3.44m.

Although these showing results are recorded on the Quebec GESTIM (Gestion des titres minier) on the Ministère des Ressources Naturelles et de la Faune website, neither the reported results nor the claims themselves have yet been verified by Tres-Or Resources Ltd., or other independent Qualified Persons, as defined by National Instrument 43-101. Harrison Cookenboo, Ph.D. P.Geo., a Qualified Person by the standards of National Instrument 43-101 is preparing the follow-up work programs to test and expand on previous work and will be responsible for the design and implementation of the field programs.
